About The Position

The Valet Attendant/Bellperson provides assistance and services to hotel guests and the hotel to help ensure a pleasurable stay. The role includes valet parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with guest luggage, providing directions and transportation arrangements, and maintaining clean public areas and the bell closet. The position requires friendly guest interaction, professional conduct, adherence to company and safety policies, and a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.
Must have no more than one motor vehicle violation in the most recent two years.
Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push or pull 150 pounds.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong communication, presentation, training, and organizational skills.
Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Valet and retrieve vehicles for guests.
Assist with retrieving and loading guest luggage.
Use bell carts effectively and cautiously.
Use friendly and appropriate expressions when interacting with guests.
Know the different points of interest.
Keep public areas and the bell closet clean and tidy.
Follow up on guest complaints to ensure problems are resolved.
Direct guests to the Front Desk or meeting rooms.
Call taxis or shuttles for guests as needed.
Notify the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible.
Engage in conversation with guests.
Attend designated staff meetings and training sessions.
Complete tasks assigned by the manager.
Help guests locate other areas of the hotel and walk them to destinations when possible.
Follow company policies and procedures, maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
Follow safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
