About The Position

The Utility Driver works under the direct supervision of the Truck Shop Supervisor. The role involves operating trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment; managing and transporting manure, paunch, waste, and water; and assisting the groundskeeper as needed. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. The employee is also responsible for keeping vehicles and trailers clean and in operational condition, coordinating with Rendering personnel to spot and relocate trucks and trailers in the basement, and completing tasks promptly and independently.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Class B CDL and be capable of upgrading to a Class A CDL.
• Have prior experience with heavy equipment, large trucks, and trailers.
• Have a clean driving record, consistent work history, and verifiable experience.
• Be proficient in backing up to loading areas, hauling, and maneuvering a truck and trailer.

Responsibilities

• Drive dump trucks, water trucks, front-end loaders, skid-steers, and pickup trucks with trailers.
• Back up to loading areas and safely haul and maneuver trucks and trailers.
• Manage manure and paunch.
• Haul waste to an off-site pit.
• Pump and transport water to an off-site location.
• Assist the groundskeeper as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational upkeep of vehicles and trailers.
• Communicate with Rendering personnel to spot and relocate dump trucks and trailers in the basement.
• Work independently and complete assigned tasks promptly.
