About The Position

The Utility Driver reports directly to the Truck Shop Supervisor. The role involves operating trucks and heavy equipment, working outdoors in all weather conditions, managing and hauling waste, transporting water to an off-site location, and assisting the groundskeeper as needed. The employee is responsible for keeping vehicles and trailers clean and operational.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum Class B CDL and be capable of upgrading to a Class A CDL.
• Have prior experience with heavy equipment, large trucks, and trailers.
• Have a clean driving record, consistent work history, and verifiable experience.
• Be able to drive the specified vehicles and equipment and back up to loading areas.
• Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with Rendering personnel and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Drive dump trucks, water trucks, front-end loaders, skid-steers, and pickup trucks with trailers.
• Back up to loading areas and maneuver trucks and trailers while hauling.
• Manage manure and paunch, and haul waste to an off-site pit.
• Pump and transport water to an off-site location.
• Assist the groundskeeper as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational upkeep of vehicles and trailers.
• Communicate with Rendering personnel to spot and relocate dump trucks and trailers in the basement.
• Work independently and complete tasks promptly.
