About The Position

The Utility Construction Worker will be part of Chesapeake Plumbing & Heating, Inc.’s sewer and water/utility construction division. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and has a “no excuses, make it happen” attitude. The successful candidate uses sound judgment, manages challenging situations and administrative tasks, works effectively with technology, communicates well in writing and verbally, and balances multiple priorities while working independently. The position is on the road and requires relocation to Odessa, Delaware, before starting work. The schedule is flexible, and Saturday work may be necessary.

Requirements

Experience operating heavy equipment is required; one year of heavy equipment operation experience is specified.
A driver's license is required.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to be proactive and demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving and sound decision-making.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to relocate to Odessa, DE, before starting work.

Nice To Haves

Experience in sewer and water installation is preferred.
CDL license is a bonus.
Equipment operating experience is preferred.
Ability to work effectively and independently while balancing multiple priorities.
