About The Position

The Utility Construction Worker will be part of the sewer and water/utility construction division of Chesapeake Plumbing & Heating, Inc. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and brings a “no excuses, make it happen” attitude. The successful candidate uses sound judgment, handles challenging situations and administrative tasks, works effectively with technology, communicates well in writing and verbally, balances multiple priorities, and works independently. The position reports to the supervisor of the Utility Construction Team. Work is on the road, and relocation to Odessa, Delaware, is required before starting.

Requirements

Experience operating heavy equipment; one year is required.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure.
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive approach to work and problem-solving, with strong decision-making capability.
Flexible schedule and ability to work Saturdays when necessary.
Driver’s license required.
Ability to relocate to Odessa, Delaware, before starting work.

Nice To Haves

Experience with sewer and water installation.
CDL license.
Equipment operating experience.
