About The Position

The Utility Clerk, also known as a Sacker, supports the daily operations of the Front-End Team. The role involves efficiently sacking groceries according to customer preferences, providing customer assistance, and helping maintain a clean, organized shopping environment. Duties also include assisting customers with groceries to their vehicles, retrieving and cleaning carts, returning items to their proper locations, and supporting other tasks or departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bagging groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Greet customers, ask about their preferences for how groceries should be sacked, provide assistance to their vehicles, and follow Cosentino's Customer Service Standards or Red-Carpet Service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the sales floor, breakroom, check stands, and restrooms.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot and ensure they are clean and operational for customer use.
• Complete additional tasks identified by management, assist other stores or departments as needed, and gain new skills when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Resolve customer inquiries or concerns, referring them to store management when needed.
• Know and follow Cosentino's rules regarding alcohol and tobacco sales and handling.
• Effectively manage multiple responsibilities at the same time.
