Utility Clerk Part Time
About The Position
The Utility Clerk performs general maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members. The role includes keeping club areas and outdoor grounds clean, gathering and returning carts and flatbeds from the parking lot, and ensuring carts are clean, usable, and available at the club entrance. The position also includes returning unused merchandise, restocking cleaning supplies, completing routine building repairs, and operating designated cleaning and material-handling equipment safely. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

- Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
- Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas; may be under 18 to perform parking lot cart functions.

Responsibilities
- Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the club, including the sales floor, offices, restrooms, outdoor grounds, and parking lot.
- Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance, and keep carts stocked, clean, and in working order.
- Remove trash and debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club; remove unsuitable carts from use.
- Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks, including wet and dry mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extracting, washing glass, emptying trash receptacles, and pulling pallets.
- Maintain outdoor club grounds, including cart corrals, sidewalks, and outdoor trash receptacles.
- Prioritize maintenance and cleaning responsibilities efficiently across the club.
- Safely operate floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler machines according to established safety standards.
- Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies and keep receiving-dock supply areas and maintenance closets clean, neat, and organized.
- Perform minor and routine building repairs and notify management when major repairs may be required.
- Follow club policies and procedures and complete other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
