About The Position

Planet Honda is hiring a Used Vehicle Buyer, also referred to in the posting as a Vehicle Acquisition Coordinator. The role focuses on increasing used-car inventory by identifying acquisition and upgrade opportunities through the service drive, Kelley Blue Book, traditional auctions, and other sources. The buyer guides customers through vehicle exchanges while providing professional, accurate, courteous service and supporting customer satisfaction and retention. Dealership experience is not necessary; the employer will train the right candidate. This is a full-time position with annual earning potential of $80,000 to $120,000 or more based on performance. Saturday and evening availability is required. Compensation is performance-driven and may include short- and/or long-term incentives, including bonuses based on individual units acquired and manufacturer approvability. Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. The employer requires a high school graduate or equivalent and applicants to be at least 18 years old. Requirements

At least 2 years of automotive industry experience.
Ability to work independently and meet goals with minimal oversight.
Familiarity with dealership and customer relationship management systems.
Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and retention.
Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people.
Strong organizational skills and a tech-savvy mindset.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 18 years old.
Availability to work Saturdays and evenings.

Responsibilities

Build used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off-site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers, and the service drive.
Manage the intake and purchase process by appraising vehicles based on condition, negotiating purchase prices, and processing purchase-related documentation.
Identify acquisition opportunities through Kelley Blue Book ICO, traditional auctions, and service drive customers.
Monitor market and retail trends to plan inventory needs.
Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure acquired vehicles are reconditioned as needed and sold in a timely manner.
Respond to in-store and online vehicle exchange inquiries promptly, professionally, accurately, and courteously.
Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, taking initiative and working independently when needed.
