About The Position

Servco is seeking a customer service-oriented Used Car Purchasing Specialist to purchase pre-owned vehicles directly from customers at its Used Car Buying Center. The specialist sources leads, schedules seller appointments, appraises vehicles, communicates purchase offers, assists with documentation, and transports purchased vehicles to the Servco Pre-owned lot.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least two years of customer service work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer relations skills.
• Knowledge of automotive makes and models.
• Basic proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, with strong math and financial skills.
• Customer-savvy, team-oriented, and able to adapt to changes.

Nice To Haves

• Business or Auto Technology degree.
• Ability to operate a standard-shift vehicle.
• Auto sales or vehicle appraisal work experience.
• Experience with DealerTrack, Dealersocket, Roadster, and/or ACV MaxDigital.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls and make outbound calls to schedule seller appointments with the Used Car Buying Center Manager or Used Car Purchasing Specialist.
• Source used car sales leads through channels such as Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.
• Appraise vehicles on site and remotely using digital software.
• Obtain the Used Car Buying Center Manager’s approval to purchase pre-owned vehicles.
• Communicate purchase prices to customers and inform the manager if a customer accepts or wishes to negotiate.
• Assist the manager in obtaining purchase documents and ensure customers complete them properly.
• Collect vehicle keys from customers and transport vehicles to the Servco Pre-owned lot.
