About The Position

Findlay Volvo is seeking an experienced, results-driven Used Car Manager/Director to lead and grow the pre-owned operation at its luxury dealership. The role is for a hands-on leader who can acquire the right inventory, manage inventory turn and gross profit, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is an opportunity to influence dealership performance in a professional, customer-based environment.

Requirements

• Proven success as a Used Car Manager in a volume franchised dealership.
• Strong track record of profitable used-vehicle operations.
• Exceptional appraisal, acquisition, pricing, and inventory-management skills.
• Ability to develop people and build an accountable, performance-driven culture.
• Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of departmental goals and KPIs.
• High energy, integrity, professionalism, and competitive drive.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a disciplined inventory acquisition strategy through trade-ins, the Volvo 360 off-lease program, online auctions, and the Service to Sales service-drive trade-up program.
• Use v-Auto and other industry tools and market data to make pricing decisions that maximize sales velocity.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, monitor inventory aging, and maximize turn rate.
• Drive used-vehicle sales, front-end gross, total departmental profitability, and inventory return on investment.
• Develop people and build an accountable, performance-driven culture.
