About The Position

Kendall Hyundai of Vancouver is hiring a used car technician. This is not an entry-level position; candidates must have mechanical or technician experience at a dealership or large independent shop. ASE certifications are a plus but are not required. The role requires the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions. The technician inspects, diagnoses, and identifies work needed on vehicles; performs adjustments and calibrations; replenishes fluids; disassembles and reassembles vehicle components; and repairs or replaces parts. The position also requires independent judgment, documentation of work and hours according to manufacturer and Kendall policies, and road testing vehicles to verify work quality and resolve issues. Work takes place indoors in a shop. The role involves using mechanic’s hand and power tools, standing and walking throughout the shift, and frequently pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling. Lifting, pushing, and pulling weights or forces of 20 to 100 pounds is occasionally required.

Requirements

Mechanical or technician experience at a dealership or large independent shop; this is not an entry-level position.
Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
Valid driver license and good driving record.
