About The Position

Under the general supervision of Retail Managers, this position is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of customers' financial transactions and for providing information on banking products and services to new and existing customers. The Universal Banker maintains a comprehensive understanding of consumer and business deposit products and related services and uses relationship management and business development skills to serve customers effectively.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with PC and tablet technologies.
Able to perform basic math functions.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to interact at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
Ability to learn, retain and communicate the basic benefits of a wide variety of bank products and services.
Ability to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products and services.
Ability to adapt to progressive change.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two years of customer service/teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent the bank in a professional and courteous manner to all customers, associates, vendors and the public.
Provide exceptional service to existing or potential customers in person, electronically, by mail or by telephone while adhering to bank standards and policies.
Open new business and personal accounts and assist with customer safe deposit access.
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and be knowledgeable about all aspects of deposit & consumer loan products and related services.
Actively seek out opportunities to support customers with services in response to recognized customer needs.
Accurately and efficiently process the full array of deposit and loan transactions.
Complete end-of-day proof of assigned cash drawer. Maintain cash levels within prescribed limits.
Understand and observe all Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Follow all security policies and use of security equipment.
Attend mandatory training and complete online assignments for regulatory compliance as scheduled.
Assist with preparing daily, weekly and monthly retail reports as required.
Perform duties required to achieve successful bank performance or as assigned by Management.
