About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is hiring an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for its Pediatric Emergency Department. The role supports departmental operations through effective, timely communications; maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment; maintaining data and related records; and performing clerical and other support services as directed. Responsibilities also include processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with three night shifts per week, typically 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Alternating weekends and holidays are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience working in a hospital or doctor's office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with PC, Internet, and email.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Training in data entry of clinical systems.
