About The Position

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks an experienced Unit Coordinator for its Rehabilitation Unit at White Oak Medical Center. The role supports the nursing unit by processing physician orders, assisting visitors and patients with requests, communicating patient needs to staff, and coordinating clerical work and patient appointments. The successful candidate organizes multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service and a calm demeanor. The position is full-time, works a day shift of 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM for 36 hours per week, and includes an every-other-weekend rotation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior training in transcription of orders.

Responsibilities

Process physician orders.
Greet visitors, answer patient call requests, and communicate patient needs to staff.
Prioritize nursing-unit clerical duties.
Schedule patient tests, procedures, and consultations.
Organize multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service and a calm demeanor.
