About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repair rental equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• One to three years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
