About The Position

First Coast Security (FCS), founded in 1999, provides customized security services across commercial, residential, and government sites. The company emphasizes service excellence, integrity, employee satisfaction, career development, and promotion from within. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will help maintain a secure site by monitoring entrances and surveillance cameras, conducting patrols, assisting visitors, following post orders, responding to safety concerns, and documenting activities. FCS offers training to help new officers obtain a state guard card and CPR certification, as well as hands-on, on-the-job learning. The role offers advancement paths into supervisory and leadership positions. This position is available full-time and part-time.

Requirements

Be able to obtain an Unarmed Professional Security License as required by the state.
Be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Pass a drug screening, driving record check, and background check.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Be at least 18 years old, or at least 21 for any driving position.
Have proficient English communication, reading, and writing skills.
Be able to meet physical demands, including occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, bending, climbing, running, walking, and standing for long periods as needed.
Have a high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Previous security, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience is helpful but not required.
S/O License preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct patrols and monitor interior and exterior access points.
Stand guard at assigned posts to maintain visibility and site security.
Observe and report hazards or suspicious activity; complete daily logs and incident reports.
Respond quickly to emergencies or threats.
Monitor surveillance cameras.
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
