About The Position

D.M. Burr Security is seeking a part-time Roving Patrol Security Guard to monitor and secure the perimeter of Ground Effects in Flint, Michigan. The position is temporary for 90 days, with the possibility of an extension or permanent employment. The employee may also pick up additional hours at other sites or be transferred if the position is not extended. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the wage is $16.50 per hour. DailyPay is available, allowing employees to access pay the day after working. The officer conducts hourly perimeter patrols on foot or by vehicle, watches for suspicious activity and security issues, documents patrols and incidents, and responds to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies. The role also includes securing entry points, communicating concerns, enforcing access and security protocols, and maintaining a professional, visible presence. Requirements

At least 6 months of security experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to follow basic verbal and written instructions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Reliable transportation.
Valid driver's license.
Clear driving record.

Responsibilities

Conduct perimeter checks on foot or by vehicle once an hour, on the hour.
Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and security breaches.
Maintain detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and other necessary documentation.
Communicate security concerns to appropriate personnel or law enforcement as needed.
Ensure entry points, gates, and fences are secure and undamaged.
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
Provide a visible security presence to deter potential threats.
Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures regarding access control and security protocols.
Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.
