About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location in Los Angeles, California, you will safeguard clients and contribute to a welcoming environment. The role involves visible patrols, monitoring assigned areas, communicating professionally with visitors and personnel, and providing customer service while responding to security concerns. This is a full-time position paying $26.79 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification.
Baton certification.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.
