About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location in Los Angeles, California, you will help safeguard clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication. You will work collaboratively while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.

This is a full-time position scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $29.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Proficiency in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual occurrences.
• Maintain required certifications and follow applicable laws, company policies, and site procedures for carrying and handling assigned equipment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
