About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location in Los Angeles, California, you will safeguard clients and help maintain a secure environment. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. The position is full-time and pays $26.79 per hour. The listed schedule is 10:00 PM–6:30 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton.
Baton certification.
Customer service experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to established procedures, providing directions and assistance as needed.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, notifying appropriate personnel or public agencies when required.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns.
