About The Position

Security Engineers is seeking Unarmed Security Officers for a second-shift assignment in Tennessee. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; candidates must also be available to work Saturdays and Sundays. The position pays $16.92–$18.00 per hour and is identified as full-time. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen. A criminal background check may be required by law because the role supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations. Officers conduct patrols, monitor access points and surveillance feeds, respond to incidents, maintain activity records, carry out routine security tasks, assist visitors and employees, and enforce post instructions and company and client policies. A valid Tennessee Security Officer/Guard License is required or must be obtained and maintained when performing regulated activities in Tennessee. The role requires the ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb stairs for the specified durations or distances. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; no prior experience is required. Verifiable customer service experience is preferred.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have, or obtain and maintain, a valid Tennessee Security Officer/Guard License when providing regulated activities in Tennessee.
Be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Be able to perform in fast-paced, potentially stressful environments.
Have strong situational awareness and curiosity.
Be able to stay calm, problem-solve, and act effectively in critical situations.
Have basic computer skills and the ability to use a tablet for reporting.
Be able to stand for at least one hour without support or a break.
Be able to sit for at least one hour without a break.
Be able to walk at least one-half mile without stopping.
Be able to climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Two or more years of verifiable customer service experience.
Tennessee Unarmed Security License preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and identify and report concerns.
Monitor facility access points and verify IDs and credentials.
Monitor surveillance feeds for signs of threats or breaches.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents using established protocols.
Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations.
Perform routine tasks, including locking and unlocking doors and managing security systems.
Assist visitors and employees and address concerns professionally.
Enforce security procedures according to Security Post Instructions.
Ensure compliance with Security Engineers and client policies, including policies concerning smoking, loitering, and parking.
