About The Position

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Patrol Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for clients. Officers deter incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. The role includes patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms and emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. Officers are expected to act professionally, demonstrate strong observational skills, and remain calm under pressure. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight, at $17.00 per hour. The position is full-time and requires weekend availability.

Requirements

Have or be able to obtain a valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority.
Hold a valid driver's license from the state of residence.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Be able to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Be available to work weekends.
Demonstrate strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
Remain calm and effective in critical situations.
Have basic computer skills and the ability to use tablets for reporting.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to obtain all required security certifications and licenses.
Complete a satisfactory post-offer background investigation and drug screen; a criminal background check may be required by law.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
At least 1 year of verifiable military, law enforcement, or security experience.
At least 2 years of verifiable customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns.
Monitor access points and verify IDs and credentials.
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to protocol.
Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
Perform routine security tasks, such as locking and unlocking doors.
Assist visitors and employees professionally.
Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols.
Ensure compliance with company and client policies, including rules concerning smoking, loitering, and parking.
