About The Position
The Unarmed Security Officer monitors premises and the comings and goings of center participants, conducts property patrols, and opens, closes, and monitors gates for authorized personnel. The role involves preventing theft, violence, and rule infractions; warning violators; and requesting emergency personnel for high-risk situations. Positions are sought in San Fernando, Sylmar, Reseda, and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Valid BSIS Guard Card.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to use a smartphone.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Positive attitude.
- Approachable and friendly demeanor.
- Compassionate and strong enough to set boundaries.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be available for overtime hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
- Warn violators of premises rules and regulations.
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
- Monitor the comings and goings of the participants of the center.
- Perform property patrol.
- Open, close, and monitor the gate for authorized personnel.
