The Unarmed Security Officer maintains a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures. The role requires vigilance, sound judgment, and professional responses to threats, including promptly contacting law enforcement when an armed response is required. Officers conduct patrols, monitor surveillance and access control, respond to alarms and emergencies, maintain detailed logs, and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary. The position is designated a Safety Sensitive Function under Company policy. Alertness, integrity, and composure under pressure are essential. Officers must have or be able to obtain a BSIS Guard Card and comply with applicable company and client-site training requirements and regulations. The posted schedule is 3rd shift, 2300–0700, Sunday–Thursday. The position is listed as full-time, although the posting also says it is a full- and part-time position. Pay is $20.66 per hour. Starting pay within the posted range is based on job-related experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and other lawful factors. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen. Because this position supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations, a criminal background check may be required by law. Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with the California Fair Chance Act.
