About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for a third-shift position in Mesa, Arizona, paying $22.00 per hour. The role involves foot patrol and physical activity. A current Arizona guard card is required. The officer helps protect people and equipment, enforce policies, monitor for security risks, and respond to alarms and emergencies.

Requirements

Current, valid Arizona security license or guard card.
Valid and clean driver's license.
At least 21 years old.
High school diploma.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
At least one year of security experience.
Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
Ability to perform occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and extended periods of walking.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and courteously.
Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals and vehicles.
Help protect people and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
Monitor for suspicious behavior to help prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal behavior.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
Patrol interior and exterior perimeters to identify potential safety and security risks.
Warn violators about infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or possessing prohibited items.
Respond to distress calls, alarms, and emergencies, including fires, injuries, and unauthorized individuals, by contacting local first responders.
Identify and report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances in a timely manner.
Submit required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Ensure rules and regulations are enforced and followed.
Perform other duties as determined by management.
