About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring a third-shift Unarmed Security Officer in Mesa, Arizona. The role involves foot patrol and physical activity. Officers provide courteous assistance to guests, help protect people and equipment, enforce policies and procedures, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to security concerns and emergencies. A current Arizona guard card is required.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona security license or guard card.
• Valid, clean driver's license.
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• At least one year of security experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Ability to perform foot patrol and physical activity, including occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and extended walking.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and courteously.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals and vehicles.
• Assist in protecting people and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior to help prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol interior and exterior perimeters to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Warn violators about infractions, including loitering, smoking, or possessing prohibited items.
• Respond to distress calls, alarms, and emergencies such as fires, injuries, or unauthorized individuals; contact local first responders as needed.
• Identify and promptly report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances.
• Submit required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure that rules and regulations are enforced and followed.
• Perform other duties as determined by management.
