About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer secures the premises and personnel by conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting the building, guarding entry points, and verifying visitors. The role requires vigilance, discipline, and professionalism to help maintain the safety of the facility and its employees.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position in Arizona. Shift times and workdays are determined by operational needs and may vary by location. The role may require evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime; schedules and assigned shifts may change based on staffing and operational requirements. Positions in production facilities may involve regular exposure to cannabis plant material, dust, and other potential allergens. Required personal protective equipment is provided.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old, as required by state law.
• Have a valid state ID or driver's license.
• Have strong experience in de-escalation training, conflict resolution, self-defense, and crowd control.
• Be able to walk the facility and climb stairs for most of the shift.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have at least 2 years of experience as a security officer, in law enforcement, or in the military.
• Have at least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Hold a valid Arizona Guard Card or Unarmed Security Guard License.
• Hold valid Taser and baton certifications.
• Be willing to submit to a background check.

Nice To Haves

• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Secure the designated station with attention, discipline, and professionalism.
• Check in facility visitors, guests, and employees.
• Ensure security standard operating procedures are followed.
• Conduct routine interior and perimeter patrols and ensure security checkpoints are secure across multiple levels.
• Swiftly respond to and report on-site security-related issues.
• Monitor facility security cameras to protect employees and company property.
• Ensure the security room, gates, doors, locks, and camera systems are in working order during assigned shifts.
