About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a client property. Officers may be assigned to device checks, dock monitoring, metal detector screening, roving patrols, or tracking high-value loads. The role includes helping deter theft, monitoring shipments and building access, checking approved devices, and ensuring visitors pass through screening. Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Non-commissioned security license through the state of Texas.
Strong customer service skills.
Familiarity with report writing.
Monitoring and surveillance experience.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required.

Bilingual ability is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Scan tags on approved employee devices and verify the device IMEI against its sticker or provided paperwork.
Monitor the north dock for theft attempts, open and close dock doors, track outbound trucks, count inbound pallets, monitor loading through open dock doors, and monitor special projects during peak season.
At the south dock, count inbound pallets, monitor special projects during peak season, send and receive emails, enter truck information, monitor open dock doors, and open and close dock doors.
Check devices in and out at the metal detector station, allowing only approved devices with a sticker or approved paperwork.
Ensure visitors clear the X-ray screening and monitor the X-ray machine to help prevent prohibited items from entering the building.
Walk throughout the assigned area to help deter theft attempts.
Track high-value loads using computer software.
