About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for an access-control role. The position supports client safety and property protection through visitor services, access management, patrols, equipment checks, badge scanning and creation, and incident reporting. Officers welcome visitors, verify identities, provide directions, answer questions in person or by phone, and communicate security concerns. Available full-time shifts are Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM–1:30 PM or 1:30 PM–9:30 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold a non-commissioned security license through the state of Texas.
• Have strong customer service skills and excellent customer service experience.
• Be familiar with report writing.
• Have previous metal detection experience.
• Be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Be able to sit, stand, walk, or climb stairs for extended periods.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Have a minimum of six months of proven security experience via TOPS history.
• Have a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Be computer literate, able to type, and able to learn new programs.

• Prior badging experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, verify their identities, and guide them.
• Manage access control.
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Scan badges for client personnel.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Create badges for customer employees, vendors, and guests.
