Unarmed Security Guard
About The Position
Secure Source Guards is hiring dependable, professional Security Guards for an active project in Crested Butte, Colorado. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, with an immediate start. Security equipment is provided. Officers help protect people, property, and client interests by maintaining a visible, professional presence, monitoring site access, conducting patrols, documenting and reporting security concerns, and responding to incidents according to established procedures. The role involves working with clients, visitors, contractors, law enforcement, fellow officers, supervisors, and client representatives. Work may be outdoors in changing weather, including cold temperatures, snow, wind, and other inclement conditions typical of the Crested Butte area. Officers should be prepared for unpredictable situations and extended periods of standing, walking, and patrolling. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts, day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays, with flexible scheduling as required. The starting pay is $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and courteous attitude in appearance and communication.
- Be available to work holidays, including major holidays.
- Comply with company uniform and appearance standards and client-specific policies, including tobacco-use restrictions.
- Have reliable transportation and strong punctuality and time-management skills.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing client needs and operational requirements.
- Have strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
- Be able to accurately complete security reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs.
- Be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Be dependable, alert, and detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and client-specific security requirements.
- Be able to perform assigned duties safely and follow established emergency response procedures.
Nice To Haves
- One year of security experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure pedestrian and vehicle access through designated entry and exit points.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and shift reports.
- Observe, document, and report incidents, suspicious activity, safety concerns, and other security-related events.
- Communicate professionally with clients, customers, employees, contractors, visitors, and law enforcement personnel as needed.
- Conduct routine foot patrols and inspect assigned areas for potential security risks.
- Follow site-specific security procedures, post orders, and client instructions.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and unexpected situations in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence.
- Collaborate with fellow security officers, supervisors, management, and client representatives.
- Protect client property, maintain confidentiality, and uphold company standards of professionalism and service.
