About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security guard for enhanced patrol coverage at an assigned site in Katy, Texas. The position provides a designated weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule and requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be claimed through the company’s scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours and work at multiple sites. The role may provide a path to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back.

The scheduled shift is Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.26 per hour. The guard provides customer service, follows site-specific security procedures, responds to incidents, conducts patrols, monitors for unusual activity, and documents observations and activities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and use a problem-solving approach while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused facilities, office areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report observations, and help deter unauthorized access or policy violations.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and relevant observations in accordance with site requirements.
