About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Chicago, Illinois. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the opportunity to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift is a fixed “anchor shift” requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up shifts across multiple sites and can build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. Pay is $19.75 per hour.

The position focuses on providing customer service and security support to tenants, visitors, and property staff; monitoring access and activity; responding to incidents; and conducting foot patrols. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and the surrounding property perimeter.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and promptly report maintenance, lighting, or property concerns.
