About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance in Los Angeles, California. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned retail site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and the flexibility to scale back. The listed pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy concerns; report observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with access control and visitor awareness and help protect merchandise and property while deterring unauthorized activity.
