About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard Enhanced Unarmed Patrol in Westfield, Massachusetts. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned retail site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. Pay is $17.50 per hour. The listed shift is Saturday, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM.

The role includes customer service and security duties at the assigned retail location, including patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and reporting. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, conducting emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity in accordance with site procedures to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Maintain a professional presence while assisting with directions, customer concerns, and other security-related requests.
