About The Position

The TV Sales Representative, listed in the posting as Product Specialist - Televisions, greets customers and provides information about products and services offered by BrandsMart USA and BrandsMart Service Company. The role sells merchandise and explains extended service plans to customers, while continually building knowledge of the products and competitors. It also includes maintaining store displays and the selling area, assisting with physical inventories, and completing shopping reports as required.

Requirements

At least three years of prior retail experience, preferably in a customer-contact area; current BrandsMart USA employees will be given preference.
Education and experience equivalent to high school or college graduation, or another combination of education, training, or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the role.
Ability to read English, or another language required for a specific location, sufficiently to handle invoices, repair orders, faxed requests, and similar materials.
Basic English writing skills, or writing skills in another language required for a specific location, for orders, requests, and other correspondence.
Spoken fluency in English, or another language required for a specific location, sufficient to communicate with customers and understand their responses.
Basic math skills, including multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division, to verify merchandise amounts, costs, and quantities.
Ability to occasionally grasp, lift, or otherwise move goods weighing up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity in at least one hand to operate computer terminals and other electronic equipment and complete paperwork.
Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute with no errors.

Responsibilities

Greet customers.
Sell merchandise according to the Company’s current pricing policy.
Sell and accurately explain BrandsMart USA service contracts, and ensure contracts are accurately added to sales invoices.
Maintain product knowledge in the assigned department, including attending Company- and manufacturer-sponsored training.
Stay informed about competitors, including their policies, prices, and product assortments; complete shopping reports when assigned by store management.
Take physical inventories as required.
Clean and maintain the selling area or counter using basic cleaning supplies.
Assist with changing, arranging, or straightening displays.
