Tutor/Teacher
About The Position
Huntington is seeking dynamic tutors for its Gahanna/New Albany location. Tutors join a team of professional educators and work with elementary-, middle-, and/or high school-aged students. Instruction is in person and is not remote. Subject areas include phonics, reading, writing, study skills, and math. The role offers flexible scheduling, with instructional hours varying Monday through Thursday between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; candidates do not need to be available for all listed hours. Pay starts at $18 per hour and is commensurate with experience and credentials. Huntington supplies the curriculum and materials, provides paid training, and requires no lesson planning, homework grading, or travel to students’ homes. This role offers experience described as highly respected in the field of education. Retired teachers are welcome to apply.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Teaching experience and/or certification preferred.
- Orton-Gillingham certification preferred, but not required for elementary levels.
