About The Position

The Turret Operator (Limited Setup) sets up and operates an Amada turret punch press. Duties include loading and unloading tools, loading and securing blanks, operating the machine control, maintaining the machine, producing parts according to customer drawings, deburring parts during production, and performing secondary operations on punched parts. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs, with or without notice.

The position works from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, for 40 hours per week. Employees must be open to working overtime when necessary.

Requirements

• High school-level education or equivalent, plus specialized training obtained through vocational courses or on the job.
• Have 12-inch calipers that pass calibration testing.
• Good math skills, including an understanding of measurements and fractions.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and understand production drawings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.
• Open to working overtime hours when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Blueprint-reading skills are desired.
• Knowledge of punch and die clearances, material bend allowances, and die radius for proper bending of material.
