About The Position

The Robot Setup Operator performs robotic machine operations, reads blueprints, and conducts basic inspections of finished parts. The role also performs GMAW welding on a diversified range of standard weldments using American Welding Society welding symbols. The operator selects and mounts welding fixtures, calls up the appropriate welding program, runs first pieces to verify conformance, and makes necessary program edits and machine adjustments. The role supports and trains robotic cell operators using Training Within Industry (TWI) standard work practices, performs minor welding outside fixtures when needed, prioritizes daily operator work, and helps maintain production flow. The operator may assume robotic welding cell setup and operation duties as production needs require or when trained staff are absent.
