Turret Operator 1st Shift
About The Position
The Turret Operator works in a freezer warehouse on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The role uses a turret forklift to pick, pull, move, stage, and put away whole pallets while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The operator may work in cold-storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or, at dry-storage sites, temperatures up to 100°F/37°C, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. The role may also involve various noise levels, which can at times be loud. Requirements
- Turret forklift experience is required.
- Ability to understand instructions in the country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold-storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry-storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds; the required weight may be higher depending on the facility.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
Responsibilities
- Write the order number, receiver’s name, and case quantity on every order, box, pallet, package, and bin pulled.
- Report bad tickets promptly to the appropriate leader.
- Pull all orders in a timely manner.
- After orders are pulled, help run freight and locate product.
- Report broken pallets to a supervisor.
- Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
- Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material-handling equipment at the proper charging station.
- Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
- Pick, pull, and move whole pallets using a turret machine, and stage or put away materials while following safety standards, policies, and procedures.
