About The Position

Tarkett is seeking a Tufting Operator to join our Hospitality manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate cut pile tufting machines, monitor product quality throughout production runs, and help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on position well suited to candidates who take pride in precision work and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and write in standard English.
Proficiency in basic math, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to read and interpret graphic patterns.
Ability to bend, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a 12-hour shift in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience operating cut pile tufting machines preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate cut pile tufting machines, including threading and replacing needles, replacing cutting blades, aligning the cutting blade block, hook replacement, backing changes, roll tickets, and doffing.
Repair yarn breaks in creels and beams using an air splicer.
Complete machine setup checks, including the production checklist, deck board, and backing verification.
Perform quality inspections during production runs and coordinate with the mender to repair voids in carpet as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-ordered work area.
Follow all company and regulatory safety and environmental guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment, using approved tools and equipment, and applying safe work practices for each task.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
