About The Position

This role involves operating and monitoring tufting machinery to produce materials according to established procedures and production specifications. The operator will be responsible for loading materials, monitoring machine performance, making minor adjustments, inspecting finished products for quality, and maintaining production rates. The position also requires adherence to safety policies, proper use of equipment, accurate documentation, and effective communication with supervisors and other team members. Assistance with machine setup, changeovers, and cleaning may also be required.

Requirements

Ability to operate and monitor tufting machinery.
Skill in loading and positioning materials.
Capability to make basic machine adjustments.
Proficiency in inspecting finished materials for defects.
Understanding of production specifications, patterns, and work orders.
Ability to report mechanical problems or equipment malfunctions.
Capacity to maintain consistent production rates and quality standards.
Skill in removing and handling completed material.
Knowledge of keeping a work area clean and organized.
Adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Proper use and care for tools and production equipment.
Ability to complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Effective communication skills for reporting concerns and issues.
Willingness to assist with machine setup, changeovers, and cleaning.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor tufting machinery according to established procedures.
Load and position materials into the tufting machine.
Monitor machine operation and make basic adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
Inspect finished materials for defects, inconsistencies, or other quality issues.
Follow production specifications, patterns, and work orders.
Make minor machine adjustments and report mechanical problems or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or maintenance department.
Maintain consistent production rates while meeting quality standards.
Remove and properly handle completed material from the machine.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Properly use and care for tools and production equipment.
Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
Communicate production concerns, material issues, and quality problems to the supervisor.
Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and cleaning as assigned.
Work cooperatively with other production employees and departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
