About The Position

The Truck Service Advisor (TSA) provides customer service at a TA Truck Service location by applying knowledge of the products sold and services provided. The role is primarily responsible for writing work orders, suggestive selling, and processing over-the-counter transactions while helping return travelers to the road. The TSA works in a service-focused team environment and helps maintain a safe, clean customer-facing area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous cashier and customer service experience.
• Professional manner when interacting with customers, management, and coworkers.
• Strong suggestive selling skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, in interior and exterior conditions.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience in a repair or parts shop.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers and maintain knowledge of products and services offered.
• Use suggestive selling skills to help generate revenue and influence customers professionally and with integrity.
• Write, detail, and process work orders and over-the-counter transactions, including properly writing ETA work orders.
• Secure purchase orders and prepare and communicate quotes to customers.
• Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate delivery.
• Prepare end-of-shift drops and shift reports, and understand various payment types.
• Maintain cleanliness of service counters, showroom, and customer restrooms.
• Help maintain the safety of customers and team members.
