About The Position
The Truck General Trucker drives a walkie or tugger, including backing up and attaching a hitch pitch to connect to a cassette, and keeps tire machines stocked with materials. The role involves operating machinery and performing physical tasks in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Safety procedures and guidelines must always be followed, including wearing hearing protection and steel-toe shoes. Comprehensive training is provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and carrying of up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform over-the-shoulder work, push and pull heavy cassettes, and frequently reach and twist; occasional bending and climbing stairs and ladders.
- Wear hearing protection and steel-toe shoes.
