About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver in Princeton, Indiana. This is a local, home-daily driving role delivering auto parts to Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Freight is no-touch and transported in a 53-foot dry van with a swing door, using a day-cab tractor. Strong backing skills are required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, and drivers must be flexible with morning and afternoon start times. Drivers are paid weekly and may earn $1,415 or more per week, with $10,000 in first-year bonuses and a safety bonus of up to $250 per quarter, if applicable.

Drivers operate well-maintained trucks that are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. The company describes the position as offering driver autonomy and support throughout a driving career.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Have Class A verifiable tractor-trailer or comparable-vehicle experience: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
• Have strong backing skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load or unload freight, or assist with loading or unloading if required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
