About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Princeton, Indiana. This is a local, home-daily driving position delivering solo across Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The work involves no-touch auto parts freight using a day-cab tractor and a 53-foot dry van with a swing door. Strong backing skills are required. The schedule is Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, and the driver must be flexible with both AM and PM start times. Drivers earn $1,415 or more per week and are paid weekly. The posting advertises $10,000 in bonuses during the first year and a quarterly safety bonus of up to $250, if applicable. Ryder provides well-maintained trucks that are 36 months old or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance, fueling at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations, and company-paid scale bypass. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: nine months within the past three years, or two years within the past five years, or five years within the past ten years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Have strong backing skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver auto parts freight solo to locations in Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee on local routes.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Load or unload freight, or assist with loading or unloading, if required by the customer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
