About The Position

Meijer Fleet Drivers help keep stores stocked and communities served across the Midwest. This full-time, year-round position operates local routes from Meijer distribution centers to stores and transports vendor backhauls to distribution centers. Drivers are home daily, and freight is no-touch. Schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Meijer welcomes both experienced drivers and recent graduates of accredited CDL training programs.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid CDL-A license.
• Have a Hazmat endorsement or be able to obtain one.
• Have one year of truck driving experience or successfully complete an accredited CDL training program.
• Be able to pass a DOT physical, road test, and pre-employment drug screen.
• Have no moving violations within the last year and no more than two moving violations within the last three years.
• Be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, dependability, professionalism, accountability, a customer-focused mindset, effective communication, and the ability to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
• Deliver freight from Meijer distribution centers to stores on schedule.
• Transport vendor backhauls to distribution centers.
• Perform yard switching and trailer movements as needed.
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
• Represent Meijer with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
