About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The position delivers solo to Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Missouri, with home-daily routes and occasional nights out. Drivers operate sleeper and day-cab tractors pulling 53-foot refrigerated trailers and handle grocery freight, which involves driver-assist unloading. A pallet jack is used. The role operates seven days a week with two days off; start times range from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Pay is weekly and includes average solo mileage pay of $0.67 per mile for 1,500 or more miles per week, $25.50 per stop for 2–4 stops per day, and $29.50 per backhaul. Paid training is provided. A loyalty bonus pays $1,250 at six months and $1,250 at one year; quarterly performance and safety bonuses pay $300–$500 four times a year. Ryder provides well-maintained trucks, 24/7 roadside maintenance, and fueling at more than 800 maintenance locations. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle checks, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Have one year of 53-foot refrigerated trailer experience and strong backing skills.
