About The Position

NFI is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver for a dedicated Staples fleet serving the Northeast Corridor. This local, driver-assist role involves deliveries with pallet jacks and offers daily home time, dependable miles, late-model trucks with advanced technology and safety features, and benefits beginning on day one. NFI shops maintain approximately 60% of its trucks and trailers. Average weekly pay is $1,500–$1,600 for day shift and $1,600–$1,700 for night shift. Drivers may also earn safety, inspection, and referral bonuses, and the posting advertises a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a current Class A CDL from your state of residence.
Have a minimum of six months of relevant tractor-trailer experience.
Provide acceptable references from past employers.
Meet all applicable DOT qualifications.
Be physically capable of the job duties, including frequent moving, standing, walking, sitting, handling items, and reaching with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
Be legally able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties safely and responsibly.
Follow all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, as well as customer rules, standards, and guidelines.
Perform routes, pickups, and deliveries based on customer requirements.
Report equipment problems, accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after the route.
Safely operate the vehicle and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
Complete driver-assist deliveries using pallet jacks.
