Truck Driver CDL A No Touch Daily
About The Position
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Corbin, Kentucky. This local, home-daily position delivers auto parts without touch freight to locations in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Alabama. Drivers operate a day-cab tractor with a 53-foot dry van and must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions. Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Start time may be AM or PM, and drivers are responsible for a consistent 10-hour daily window. Pay is weekly, with a guaranteed $1,280 per week and daily route pay of $275–$310; the posting says drivers earn up to $1,425 or more weekly. Ryder offers medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days; PTO accrual starting on Day 1; a boot allowance; a 401(k) rollover option and company match after one year; paid maternity leave subject to eligibility criteria; and employee discounts. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder drug test.
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including verification of drug and alcohol history from previous employers for the last three years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
- Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
- Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
- Be able to drive automatic and manual transmissions.
Responsibilities
- Comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
- Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Load and unload freight, or assist with loading and unloading when required by the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
