About The Position

Xcel Energy anticipates hiring one or more Troublemen at the Chestnut Service Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role provides the first response for overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems and involves performing all duties of the Troubleman classification. The successful candidate is expected to work safely and productively, provide quality customer service, contribute to customer satisfaction, work well with others, and demonstrate self-motivation and a positive attitude. Participation in after-hours emergency callouts is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently hold a Journeyman Lineman Certificate.
• Working knowledge of all phases of distribution, construction, maintenance, and operating.
• Meet driver qualifications and hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and work well with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate a commitment to working productively and safely.
• Be able to safely lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Troubleman and/or first responder experience is desired.
